Boardwalk Empire Themed Casino to Open in Atlantic City

November 09, 2010
If you like the 1920's era, or just in love with HBO's hit show, the "Boardwalk Empire", you will love this news. Atlantic City Resorts will adopt a 1920's theme in one of their casinos by December this year.

The property is situated in the exact same location of the boardwalk. Previous owners couldn't catch up with the competition, they were failing to pay the mortgage, and had to sell the venue. It was bought by Morris Bailey and Dennis Gomes, who had great plans in mind for the casino, which is currently under construction.

They are to adopt a 20's theme all over the venue, which was built in the era in question, so the decoration won't be much of a worry for the interior designers. Gomez said the plan is to dress the dealers, the cocktail waitresses and bellhops in 1920's period costumes. To enhance the atmosphere, they intend to serve drinks of the specific area, and play music that was played at the time.

The resort should be ready this December, once the sale of the resort is approved by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission. We think themed casinos are much fun, and are eager to have a look at it when it finally opens. Also, if you are interested in the series, here's its own site at HBO.com.
