Cake Network’s first Points Race with $150K guaranteed

Cake Poker Network has decided to organize its first ever network-wide points promotion.

The dates and fine points of the promotion have been confirmed by the Cake network and the full overview can be found below.


Most (probably all) of the poker rooms belonging to the Cake Network will be taking part in this promotion, but this information has not yet been set in concrete.


The rooms that Rakerace.com can confirm that will be participating in this promotion include Cake Poker, Doyle’s Room and RedStar Poker.


Starting April 1st the Cake Poker Network will be showcasing a $150K Network Wide Rake Race called the ‘150K Points Race’.


The $150K Points Race will consist of four Weekly Races and one Monthly Race, giving players five chances to claim a share of $150,000.


The main goal in this promotion is to collect FPP Points at real money cash game or tournament tables. Players will receive one race point for each FPP acquired during gameplay.

 
$25,000 Weekly Races


Four Weekly Races will pay the top 200 point earners a share of $25,000.


Race 1: April 1st to April 9th (Race 1 is a nine day week)

Race 2: April 10th to April 16th

 

Race 3: April 17th to April 23rd

Race 4: April 24th to April 30th


There will be 200 weekly winners, with the first place taking home $1500 to add to their bankroll.

$50,000 Monthly Race


All four Weekly Race point totals will be combined in the Monthly Race where the top 300 will earn a share of $50,000, with first place taking home $3500.


For the monthly race the value of FPPs will increase each week with Week 2 points being multiplied by TWO, Week 3 points by THREE and Week 4 points by FOUR.

Rules for Earning FPPs

When players are dealt cards in a real money ring game, they will earn 1 FPP for every dollar raked. In tournament play, they will earn 7 FPPs per dollar in tournament fees paid.

 
Notice for players receiving rakeback


Players that receive rakeback at the Cake Poker Network will acquire Race Points at a doubled rate during the race period.


For example, if a rakeback player earns 1 FPP, they will receive 2 Points Race points.
