2013. January 09.
Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom continues to absolutely crush the online high stakes tables. He won $1.3 million on Tuesday and is at $4.1 million in profits in January.
We have already reported on how Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom kicked off the year 2013, winning a total of $1,859,671 on the first four days of January. What is more, the Swede dominated game types he only picked up last year, FLO8 and 27TD.

Since Blom is notorious for getting into incredible downswings after a couple of days’ outstanding performance, extreme attention is paid to his brutal start by the poker media, calculating how long his astonishing streak will last. For now, he is certainly not about to stop, even increasing his profits in the second four-day period of the month: he is currently up $4.1 million (!) in 2013. This would have been enough for a confident victory in last year’s money race.

‘Isildur1’ dominated the online high stakes game on Tuesday as well, racking up $1,329,374 in profits in a 1,415 hands session. He almost literally did not have a losing table, while having top opponents: 2012 online high stakes champion and number one PLO player Ben ‘Sauce123’ Sulsky lost $700,000 to Blom in $400/$800 PLO (even though reducing his total losses to $510,210 in other games), while Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond pushed over $408,817 to the Swede.

„Bad first "real" session on FTP. Got beat up by my friend, @ViktorBlom. Glad it was to him, but very disappointed w/ how I played. #ohwell,” Galfond tweeted.

Blom’s Tuesday record is as follows:

‘Isildur1’, following his weaker performance in the past years, is now again in the positive region with his $4.2 million total this year, considering his overall career. He is currently up over $2 million, taking his PS and FTP results into consideration, but he has also won large sums in the Euro rooms.

Blom’s daily sessions in 2013 so far:

1 January: $564,546 (1,536 hands, No 1 on the daily money list)
2 January: $-116,896 (235 hands, biggest loser of the day)
3 January: $696,435 (793 hands, No 1 on the daily money list)
4 January: $715,586 (2,186 hands, No 1 on the daily money list)
5 January: $239,795 (1,307 hands, No 2 on the daily money list)
6 January: $343,845 (1,846 hands, No 1 on the daily money list)
7 January: $273,463 (1,910 hands, No 2 on the daily money list)
8 January: $1,329,374 (1,415 hands, No 1 on the daily money list)
