The latest promotion of PokerStars, available exclusively to players in Spain, involves Brazilian football legend Ronaldo and a seat in a special event at the EPT Barcelona.
Via a series of daily freerolls, users can qualify for one of the 100 seats at the Phenomenon’s Table. This is a tournament where the two players making it to the heads-up automatically win packages that include hotel accommodation in Barcelona, €1,500 cash and entry to a €5,000 Sit & Go game where they will be seated with Ronaldo, not to mention five other Team PokerStars Pros, the identity of whom remaining undisclosed as yet.
The Barcelona stop of the European Poker Tour kicks off the 10th season of the series and it runs from 26 August through 7 September at the Casino de Barcelona at Hotel Arts Barcelona. Winners of the seats with the football legend can expect to be occupied from 31 August to 4 September.
Ronaldo, or Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, has played on the Brazilian national team in a total of 98 games, scoring 62 goals. He won the World Championship in 1994 and 2002, while being successful with his club as well, winning the Spanish national league with the Real Madrid two times, among other results. Injured several times, he booked a lot of personal achievements nevertheless: he is two-times Ballon d'Or winner and chosen by FIFA as the best player of the world three times. He joined the likes of Rafael Nadal, Boris Becker, Gianluigi Buffon and Andrij Sevchenko in Team PokerStars this April.
