Rumors have it that FBI have set out to inverstigate Full Tilt Poker, according&nbsp; to the online journal &rsquo;Online-casinos&rsquo;. <br />

Full Tilt Poker might become the first victim to the new UIGEA legislations, set to become fully operative in June.

Original enforcement of the UIGEA was due 1 December 2009, although the US treasury delayed compliance, allowing companies until 1 June 2010.

This had a dramatic affect on PartyPoker, who were once the biggest online poker room in America, suffered significant losses in market share and customer base since 2006.

In accordance to the legislation, FBI agents have been investigating several online players (including small stake players) in the past few days, gathering information on the money transactions made by Full Tilt Poker. Agents assured players that this information would not be used against them.

Although Full Tilt Poker does hold a licence, it supposedly still accepts players from states such as Washington, where online gambling is already illegal. This is just another reason why the Bureau is targeting them, possibly wanting to make an example, starting with one of the biggest rooms.

If the rumors happen to be true and the state of Washington does decide to sue Full Tilt Poker, the poker room is in for a rough road ahead. Full Tilt Poker’s fate is in the hands of how it treads in the coming months.

If Full Tilt Poker does happen to fall, it will strike fear into smaller sites, making them flee from the American market.
