European Online Poker Liquidity Deal May Come in June

According to the French online game regulating body, ARJEL France, Italy, Spain and Portugal may sign an online poker liquidity sharing deal this month, allowing players from these countries to play on the same servers.

French online gaming regulator ARJEL has published their annual report for 2016 in which they reveal they are getting close to signing a deal with three countries in Southern Europe: Italy, Spain and Portugal.

The deal would open up the four single-nation online poker markets to each other, allowing them to share their player traffic. This measure is highly needed since poker rooms in those four markets alone have been struggling to turn a profit, there were simply not enough players on their servers to provide sufficient action and licence fees were expensive too.

According to the report the deal may be struck as early as this month, June, and that would mean that testing would start in September. The new 4-country regulated market could open in 2018 the earliest.

So if you're a rakerace.com member from any of those four countries, know that good news may come your way soon.
