partypoker has officially confirmed its biggest ever event returning this year, with a $10,300 buy-in and two starting flights this year.
The $20,000,000 MILLIONS Online was a big hit last November, when it broke the record for the biggest ever online tournament, in terms of the prize pool.
Rumors have been circulating online about the event returning this year, but partypoker only confirmed this recently.
Both of the starting flights will be played as freezeouts, limiting the options to re-enter. Unlike last year, this year's event will be surrounded by a number of side events, with massive guarantees and the wide variety of buy-ins will make sure that all players will find the event, suitable for their bankrolls.
“Following the success of last year’s MILLIONS Online we’ve decided to keep the $20M guarantee,” partypoker Managing Director, Tom Waters said in a press release. “[H]owever, we wanted to bring the full MILLIONS live experience online and offer a host of side events alongside the Main Event, providing players with an exciting new online festival under the prestigious MILLIONS brand,” he added.
Day1 A will kick off on Sunday, December 1 and Day 1B on Sunday, December 8, while Day2 will be played on December 9 and the final day on December 10.
partypoker is expected to offer a wide range of satellites to the event, so every player will have a chance to go for the life-changing money. Last year, it was Slovenian Scarmak3r, who managed to win $1.3 million after qualifying through a $5 satellite to the event.
