According to Yong, the site is planning on going "softy softy" with these changes, and they're now in a trial period. He even created a poll about the new upgrade, where the majority was in favor of the "real name games".
With almost 6,000 votes 67% thinks it's a good idea, while 16% thinks otherwise and 18% simply doesn't care.
Besides, Rob explained that only players at the table would see other's real names, and as observing is no longer available at the site, there is no risk of making our names public.
However, there were several people, who had serious concerns. Vanessa Kade said these changes could be dangerous especially for women in the games.
