Unibet Presents ‘Chip Race’ Series with €200,000 Prize Pool

What’s The Chip Race Podcast?
The Chip Race is a Unibet-sponsored poker podcast that has won several awards, including the GPI Podcast of the Year two times in the last three years.
The brand’s ambassadors, David Lappin and Dara O’Kearney, host the podcast, which started in 2015 and has seen more than 135 episodes over 19 seasons in which the duo discusses all sorts of poker-related news and topics
To celebrate the start of the 20th season, Unibet is launching The Chip Race Series (CRS) starting April 16.
Format of The Chip Race Series
This tournament features 26 events, with 11 played using the bounty format and two using Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) format. The series has a leaderboard, which offers an additional $7,000 in prizes. And nobody goes away empty handed -- players who finish just outside the money receive a digital copy of Dara O’Kearney’s newly released GTO Poker Simplified.
The series starts with two opening events, the €20,000 Opening Monologue with a €100 buy-in and the €15,000 Half Price Fight Club with a €50 buy-in. Other exciting events to look out for are the €8,000 Hundred (Chip Race Edition) starting April 18 and the €10,000 Slobberknocker (Chip Race Edition) starting April 20.
The main event takes place on the last day of the series, which runs for eight days starting April 16. It has a €100 buy-in and a guaranteed prize of €25,000. The format is a No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a progressive knockout tournament bounty.
Plus, the 26 event winners will receive the chance to participate in the Winners Showdown Tournament with a €3,000 prize pool and the podcast hosts participating. The buy-in is slightly higher, ranging from €25 to €100.
