Isildur1 Wins Over $1 Million on Wednesday

In August, Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom ended up one of the biggest losers with $1,835,270 in losses, only slightly less than MalACEsia’s $1,840,600. It could be, therefore, sort of expected that the Swede ace would launch an upswing and so he did in the first days of September.


Even though he lost $20,874 in 596 hands on 1 September, he won $362,108 the next day in 1,479 hands. On Tuesday, he continued with another profitable session worth $153,588 (1,863 hands) and moved on to crush almost all of his opponents on Wednesday to pile up $1,026,112 in winnings in 2,282 hands. There were hardly any high stakes poker players who played ‘Isildur1’ that day and won. The second biggest winner of the day on FTP was ‘kagome kagome’ with $87,254 in profits.

Blom played the $300/$600 NLHE, $400/$8000 NLHE, $500/$1,000 PLO, $1,500/$3,000 27TD and $2,000/$4,000 FLO8 games. He profited the most from PLO, winning a total of $716,567 from ‘SallyWoo’. He took home $193,911 in FLO8 from ‘KPR16’, $40,714 in NLHE and $74,920 in 27TD.

Eight of the ten biggest pots went to him, the top one in a $300/$600 NLHE HU game against Ike ‘luvtheWNBA’ Haxton. Haxton sat in position in the hand and raised to $1,200. ‘Isildur1’ 3-bet to $4,200, ‘luvtheWNBA’ 4-bet to $9,900 and ‘Isildur1’ called. The flop came 6 5 6 , ‘Isildur1’ checked, ‘luvtheWNBA’ bet $9,300 and ‘Isildur1’ called again. The turn was the 8 and Blom check-called again, when ‘luvtheWNBA’ shoved his remaining $48,294.

Isildur1 won the $134,988 pot with a full house.

After his poor performance in August, Blom’s annual profits dropped to $1,575,097 but his excellent kickoff in September pushed him back to a total of $3,095,932 in 289,208 hands. He is currently second only to Kyle ‘cottonseed1’ Hendon, who sits on $3,304,544 this year after 39,814 hands.
