Erik Seidel kept up his superb performance, taking down the NBC National Heads-up Championship. With the $750,000 first prize, he took the lead on the all-time tournament money list from Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey.

5th Anniversary Sunday Million

No less than 59,128 players registered to what was then the biggest PokerStars Sunday Million ever on 6 March (this record has since been broken). The room guaranteed a $5 million prize pool which grew to $11,825,600 with all the buy-ins. The 9 finalists stroke a deal for the remaining money and played “only” for the sick Lamborghini Gallardo.

Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond made a profit of $1,901,909 in March in online cash games, qualifying himself as the greatest high stakes winner of the month. The American WSOP champion dominated in draw games, beating the field with earnings of $1,673,108, in addition to his PLO winnings of $224,437. The fish of the month turned out to be Scott ‘URnotINdanger2’ Palmer, who lost $990,207 on FTP in addition to a -$206,947 on PokerStars under his screen name ‘urnotindangr’.
