The whole thing, of course, is just a joke mixed with a bit less-than-average common sense, as the guy called ‘Duke’ never hurts anyone.

Somebody, however, felt like finishing with poor old Duke. Thirty-year-old Edmond Price and girlfriend Victoria Elizabeth Edelman cheated him into a hotel room with the promise of selling him gold, and Wall did not oppose, as, according to him, he had done several successful deals with them in the past. This time, though, action did not go down too smooth. Both Edmond and Elizabeth attacked Duke when he entered the room. They wanted grab the $137,000 that was in Duke’s bag.
But the old man did not obey easily, for he knew that if he had abandoned fighting, he would have been killed and hidden somewhere in the desert. But the couple was stronger. They took hold of the money and fled the room. Duke was left there bound by ropes, but with some miracle he managed to free himself and call the police.
They soon caught the two robbers, who – as it later turned out – were already wanted by the police for many other crimes. They wanted to use the money to hire a lawyer to defend them on the hearings of all the other crimes they have comitted. This way, however, they are facing up to twenty long years in prison.
