Partypoker's tournament offering has seen a huge improvement in the past few months, they have introduced many tournaments that are considered to be ''must-plays'' by MTT grinders. The guarantees (more than $1.6 million every week) are being smashed, traffic is constantly increasing and now players can look forward to a massive tournament series aswell.
The Partypoker Powerfest will run for 4 weeks between February 21 and March 20 and the stakes will increase every week.
During the first week, players can compete in $5,50 - $11 tournaments and the total guaranteed prize pool is $350,000.

On Week 2 of the Series, the stakes increase to $22 - $55 and the guarantee grows to $650,000.
The buy-ins of the third week will be between $109 - $215 and players can compete for a share of the $1,800,000 guaranteed prize pools.
The final week is a High Roller Week, with buy-ins ranging from $530 to $5,200, in this period players can fight for a total guaranteed prize pool of $2,200,000.
Every week will end with a Main Event on Sunday. The Week 1 finale will be a $11 buy-in, $50,000 guaranteed tournament, on Week 2 the prize pool is doubled to $100,000 ($55 buy-in).
Week 3 and Week 4 will both have a $500,000 guaranteed Main Event with a buy-in of $215 and $1,050 respectively.
There are plenty of satellites running of course so players can easily qualify for the tournaments for a smaller sum aswell.
Generally speaking, MTT players can't expect very high returns from their rake, but the $2,000 exclusive race (that is only open to Partypoker players registered through Rakerace.com) will provide excellent value for players who decide to participate in the series.
